Unusual disused utilitarian buildings are what I am passionate about. I use photography, film, sculpture and installation to express the unique qualities and situation of these overlooked buildings. These overlooked spaces are traced in the dust of abandoned work and functions and have become provocative sites to create images. I have a phenomenological approach to the buildings, taking frequent pilgrimages to them and involving many months of photographing filming and listening, to feel their uniqueness and manifest this in my work.
